How to make a family tree for kids

First of all, this is a COMPLETE GUIDE. You probably don’t need to read all this, since we kept this application pretty basic. If you need it, however, we made sure to have covered all aspects of using it. Good luck, and have fun!

1. You begin at tree selection. :)

2. Select a tree type from the types available on this screen. They have no functional diference, they only look different – go for the one you like the most, to make your family tree for kids look great.

3. Click on Upload Image. A file selection box will open.

4. On this file selection box, use the mouse to find the picture you want to copy the faces from. Don’t worry, this picture will not be damaged at all, and we will not make a copy of it. All the processing is done in you computer, with a local copy of your picture – your family tree for kids will be an entirelly new file. Once you have chosen the file, click Open.

5. Use the red rectangle to select the faces you want, from the picture you just choose. Once you selected a face area just right, click Crop This.

6. Now, choose a frame to go with the face you just selected. Be sure to select one you like, as the difference between them is only visual. As Family Tree for Kids is getting more popular, we will be adding more and more frame types, so spread the word. :)

7. Repeat this step as many times as there are faces you want to grab from this picture. As you will realize, the pictures will be alligning on the right side of the window. If there are other faces you want, but they are in other pictures, no problem. Just click on New Image and repeat the same steps you did to keep selecting the faces for your family tree for kids.

8. Here, we are selecting a new picture. Just choose the new file, and click Open.

9. Ops, the image is too big on the screen. Not a problem. Just place the rectangle at the top left of the face, and drag its bottom right corner to fit the face, just like before. Then, just click Crop This, and then do it over, as many times you need. Once you’re done, hit Next.

10. Remeber that tree image you chose at the biggining? Here it is! :) Just drag and drop the faces you croped to where you want to put them on the tree (or simply double click each picture). If your tree is gatting too small, all you gotta do it is Zoom it. It will get bigger, and fit all the portraits you want.

11. Are you satisfied with your family tree for kids? Just click Save Image, we are almost done.

12. Great! This file save windows is open, so you can choose the name and wher you want to save you simplified Family Tree for Kids. All you have to do now is name it, and click Save. Congratulations!!!
